Thavinhal
Grama Panchayat

As part of an initiative to make Thavinhal Grama Panchayat an eco-friendly and waste-free local body, an e-waste collection drive is being organized across all its wards. The campaign aims to collect discarded electronic devices from homes and institutions for scientific processing, thereby preventing them from posing a threat to the environment. The collection drive will include items such as mobile phones, computers, laptops, keyboards, mice, televisions, chargers, cables, components of electronic devices, and other obsolete electronic equipment. Discarding such waste in public spaces or water bodies, or burning it, can lead to the contamination of soil and water with harmful substances. Therefore, it is the responsibility of every citizen to separate e-waste from regular household waste and ensure its safe disposal.
