What is the Right to Service Act? As per the Kerala Right to Service Act, 2012 (Act No. 18 of 2012), officials are responsible for providing services that are to be made available to the public by Government Departments and Local Self-Government Institutions within the prescribed time limit. For each service, the time limit, the Designated Officer responsible for providing the service, the First Appellate Authority to whom an appeal may be submitted in case of delay, and the Second Appellate Authority have been notified in the Kerala Gazette (Local Self-Government Department, Notification No. LSGD/PD/18138/2024-DED3, dated 26 July 2024).
